Rules & Additional Information

Registration and Trial Class

Before registering, please check the schedule, price list, and class locations. Students are accepted in the order of registration.

Registration is binding. Enrollment is valid for the entire academic year 2025–2026. Spring term can be cancelled before it starts. Both new and returning students register via Hobiver:

Class registration is done through the Hobiver registration form. If your desired class is full, you will be placed on a waiting list. We will notify you as soon as a spot becomes available. NOTE: Trial classes must also be reserved in advance through Hobiverin.

Trial classes are free for new students only if they attend just one class. If the student continues, the regular term fee will apply retroactively from the beginning.

Hobiver Student Management System

The school uses the Hobiver system from summer 2025 onward. During registration, the student and/or guardian creates a Hobiver account.

Login is done by creating a password. The username is your email address. A login request will be sent a few days after your first registration. You can log in via browser or the Hobiver mobile app. From your Hobiver account, you can see your active classes, attendance, past courses, invoices, and update your contact information. Choose either email or postal invoice (postal fee €3). Email invoices are sent via Maventa billing network. Payment details are also visible when logged into Hobiver.

Semester Duration, Fees, and Late Payments

Tuition fees must be paid by the due date. Late payments incur a late fee. Failure to pay may result in losing the class spot. Commitment is for the full semester. A €7 administrative fee is added to each invoice.

If the student has classes of varying lengths, billing is based on the majority duration. If equal, the longer class applies. Over 5 weekly classes are billed at the higher rate. Students attending more than five classes per week can participate in unlimited classes for €786/semester.

Spring semester: January 12 – May 24, 2026.

Semester fee due date: January 26, 2026.

Installment plan: first part due January 26, second part due February 26, 2026.

No classes during winter break (week 9), February 23 - March 1. This is factored into pricing. No classes on Good Friday, Fri April 3, Easter Monday, Mon April 6, the 1st of May and Ascension Day, Thu May 14 – those will be rescheduled. Force majeure applies.

Absences and Cancellation Policy

Occasional absences are not refunded. Missed classes can be made up in other groups – please ask your teacher. Make-up classes should be taken soon. Inform your teacher which class you're making up.

Long-term absence due to illness may be credited in the next payment, if you notify billing at balettilaskutus@gmail.com or calling 040 320 6365. Inform your teacher as well. Absences due to travel or personal reasons are not compensated.

Tuition will not be refunded for mid-semester withdrawals. Children under school age may cancel within four weeks of semester start by written notice. Only classes attended will be billed.

Liability

Fees do not include insurance. We recommend obtaining personal coverage. Do not leave small children unattended in changing rooms. The school is not responsible for lost or forgotten items.

Student Performances

Performances are part of the dance curriculum. Audience tickets are paid, but not by students. Students usually perform twice per academic year.

Changes in Studies

Class changes cannot be made through Hobiver – always email changes to balettilaskutus@gmail.com and inform your teacher. Do not modify invoices yourself. If a student does not continue in spring, notify before spring term starts. No need to re-register for spring otherwise. The school reserves the right to change teachers or schedules.

Instruction may be provided online or through alternative methods if necessary.

Discounts

Semester fees include a 10% discount (already reflected in prices).

Family discount: 5% for each family member attending.

Student discount: 10% a valid student ID from a higher education institution required. Mention your student status in the registration notes.
